Each one sits on the tab once the extension is installed.
03 Install
Three steps
On Windows, with Revit and pyRevit on the same machine. Installed with the command, the extension updates itself through pyRevit. Installed from the ZIP, it does not.
-
Install pyRevit
Magic Tools runs on pyRevit, a free add-in for Revit. Get the installer from the pyRevit releases and run it.
-
Add the extension
Open PowerShell or Command Prompt and run the pyRevit CLI. This install receives updates through pyRevit's Update button.

Prefer a ZIP? Download
magic-tools.zipfrom the latest release and unzip it into the folder pyRevit loads extensions from, for example%APPDATA%\pyRevit\Extensions, so you end up with aMagicTools.extensionfolder. A ZIP install does not update itself. -
Reload pyRevit
Click Reload on the pyRevit tab, or restart Revit. The tab appears in the ribbon.
